Sleeping Tiger Coffees in Carlsbad, CA-- this coffee spot is as unique as its name! While the latte I got was quite good, I really love this place for how they've designed the space! When you want in, the coffee bar is to the right, a wine bar to the left, and live music in the back! It makes for a seemless transition from your afternoon cup of joe to your evening wine spritzer! Plus there's an adorable small outdoor garden with tables if you're feeling like sipping some espresso surrounded by succulents!

We quite literally stumbled upon this place by accident en route to Starbucks, because they are physically right next to each other. Friends, do yourselves a favor and come here instead!
The coffee is sooo good. Super fresh, strong, and local. There aren't as many menu options as Starbucks, but you can of course customize your drink, and everything they do offer here, they make extremely well. They even offer oat milk!
Sleeping Tiger shares a space with Witch Creek Winery, and is fabulous in every aspect. The physical space is absolutely adorable. There's an outdoor "Garden Gift Shop" that is incredibly well curated. There are all sorts of trinkets, furniture, and succulents available to purchase, and everything is arranged in such an inventive way. There's a good sized patio, but most of the seats aren't covered. There is, however, a covered outdoor private area for large groups or events.
Lastly, Sleeping Tiger is dog friendly, which is such a nice bonus. They even have a few water bowls set out for pups -

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I wish I could upload a video because I posted this coffee house in all my social media platforms. Friends joked about me getting an advertisement contract.
First of all their coffee is delicious. I've been here several times and had their lattes twice and coffee once. They pull 2 or 4 shots- no extra cost! Their espresso is so delicate in taste! Both 2 and 4 shot lattes are pretty tasty. I am an avid coffee drinker so I usually take 4 shots. Their regular coffee is pretty good too! No creamer needed.
Second, the AMBIANCE IS EXQUISITE. You have a rustic interior and an elegant exterior. The patio is so cute! There is plenty of places to sit inside and outside. The inside is adjacent to a winery which apparently has been here for 27 years. The coffee shop has been here for about 5.
Finally they also have open mic on Thursdays and live music on the weekend! I'm definitely checking this out.
Unfortunately I don't leave in this area again, but I will always stop by when I'm in town visiting my parents.
